I had been struggling with nasal congestion for the past couple of years. I went to a different hospital and after some tests, the doctor suggested surgery. I was more curious about the procedure but he didn't explain anything about the surgery so I started watching videos about the surgery on YouTube. Luckily I saw Zakir sir's videos, it was interesting and very well explained. So I decided to meet him. One Saturday morning we came to Matha Medical Centre and met the doctor. I explained about the nasal congestion and snoring issues. He enquired about everything about my condition, difficulties and sleep pattern with me and my wife and finally suggested one MRI scan. He informed the scanning centre and by evening the report was ready. We went to his clinic in the evening. After referring tthe MRI result, he explained everything about the present condition, surgery procedure, expenses and the expected output. I was very much convinced and my confidence level increased to face the surgery. Two things I noticed were Zakir sir is ready to explain n number of times to clear our doubts and second thing is he is respecting our time. Usually, we have to spend a minimum of two days doing all these things. He coordinates with the staff and lab so that the process was very smooth. The surgery went well. My bystanders were also very well communicated by Zakir Sir during and post the surgery. Post-surgery after discharge he called me every other day and enquired about the condition. This is the first time we are getting this level of support from a senior doctor. A doctor with a smiling face can heal a good amount of medical issues. So if we could get a doctor like Zakir sir then we don't have to worry anything about the complete process. **The surgery** Nowadays many of us have nasal congestion issues, but most of us don't want to face surgery due to the anxiety about the process. From my experience, this is a minor surgery. For septoplasty(the surgery name) there won't be any stitching or external scar on the face. We don't have to worry about the pain because I experienced pain only during the two injections. But post-operation, definitely there will be some discomfort. On the operation day, your nose will be 100% closed so you have to inhale and exhale through your mouth. Slight pain/discomfort will be there in the throat due to the intubation. But due to the Anastasia effect, I was sleeping most of the time. The next day morning itself doctor removed the pack so around 10% relaxation was there. After one week he removed the splint and after that started experiencing the result. **About the staff** The anaesthesia specialist Dr Arshad was very friendly like Zakir sir. Before the surgery, we had a 1:1 conversation and he explained everything about the process. After the conversation, my mind was fully prepared for it. The nursing staffs were very helpful. Nearly 8 patients with different medical/physical conditions were there in the post-operative ward. Some of them are not cooperating with the nursing staff. But the staff were handling them very nicely. The nurse who assists Zakir sir is also very friendly. This hospital offers cashless options from various insurance providers. I am very much satisfied with the insurance desk. The staffs are very friendly. **Hospital** First time I am visiting Matha Medical Centre. It is not a well-established crowded super speciality hospital, but it has all facilities like various departments, experienced doctors, labs, a well-maintained operation theatre, post-operative care unit, ICU etc. We took the AC room and the room was spacious, neat and clean. Compared to other hospitals I think medical expenses are affordable for middle-class families. **Canteen** I am sorry to say that the only worst part of this hospital is the canteen. The food was very bad. When I went there, instead of serving food two staff ladies were fighting each other and I had to watch that for 10-15 min. Swiggy and Zomoto service is available so we can order food from Kollam City. Thanks, Zakir sir and the team

Hands down one of the best hospital in kollam. They are providing all the facilities for the best patient care.The nursing care here is top most. All the departments in this hospital are working 24/7 so that there is not even a small space for any discomfort for the patients. The management and admin teams are at its top on ensuring smooth patient care during the entire process. The admission and discharge procedure are almost flawless they are having a very speedy admission and discharging procedure. We can call the casualty of this hospital as a rapid response team as they are so fast and effective in managing emergency. The doctor's here are well experienced and patient friendly. I strongly recommend everyone to MATHA MEDICAL CENTRE for your medical purposes

After the surgery he explained everything about it.He contact us regularly for the condition after surgery.He treated as like a family member. Very bad experience from the hospital as a patient. The consultation fee and admission fee are low. But once get admitted and fell into their trap they will loot you in all possible ways. The low consultation fee is like a trap. They will force you into all types of unnecessary investigations in the name of diagnosis. The doctors are very poorly coordinated and the casualty is a total mess. The casualty here is keeping extremely low standards causing unnecessary crowding and poor patient care. So if you values your life and money please don't go to this hospital 🙏
